WHAT IS CRYPTOLAND THE GAME?

CryptoLand is a staking game with a unique blend of tokenization, Digital Game Pieces (DGPs), and smart contract technologies.

DGPs

The CryptoLand DGPs will be among the first projects to launch on the XRP ledger. Initially we will be minting Land and Avatar DGPs. This will be quickly followed by Loot Boxes DGPs, Weapons DGPs, Armor DGPs, as well as other DGP gear and EnhanceMINTS designed to enhance your game experience.

Land

There are 20,000 plots of Land DGPs in the newly terraformed region called CryptoLand. Each plot of land has been carefully assessed and graded for its richness and ability to produce Cryptopium, and to generate rent income from the tenant farmers who live on the land. Cryptopium is then refined into the currency of the realm, CRYPTO.

Avatars

There are 10,000 Avatars in CryptoLand. CryptoLand society is rigid and uncompromising and is divided into 5 classes and 18 subclasses ranging from lowly Miners up to Nobles, Queens, and mighty Kings.

The Tokens

There is one token now in the ecosystem.   We have changed this for simplicity sake.  The token that can now be earned in the game is CRYPTO.  For the purposes of in-game mechanics and ease of use we have created an e-wallet for the rewards you make in the game to make it easier for you to use these rewards to progress in the game by performing other in-game actions.

CryptoLand Token $CRYPTO

The CryptoLand token is a cryptocurrency token created on XRPL. It is awarded for certain in-game actions, such as Raiding, Governing, Ruling, Kingdom upgrades, and mythical loot chest. $CRYPTO can be used to pay for in-game actions, purchase weapons, armor and other gear from Blacksmiths and other players, and can also be used to purchase EnhanceMINTS and items that cannot be purchased using Cryptopium.

PLAYING THE GAME

Each of the in-game actions will be executed via smart contracts. As a staking game, there are in-game actions that can be performed in our platform as we have created digital game pieces to represent them in the game. This will allow owners to buy and/or sell DGPs while they are actively involved in game contracts. When a contract is over, the rewards for that contract will go to the community member who owns the DPG at the time of the completion of the contract.

GAME ELEMENTS

Each type of Digital Game Piece, their roles and in-game actions, the costs and potential rewards for each.

Land [DGP]

Each of the 20,000 plots of land has one in-game action called Rent Collection. Landowners collect rent from the tenant farmers living on their land. The amount of rent collected daily is dependent on the graded level of the Land. This action has a per day cost associated with it. More details on this will be released when this game action is activated.

Land plots do not have the disadvantages that the miners have because land ownership is considered one of the greatest drivers of wealth in CryptoLand.

Miners [DGP]

There are 4,500 Miners in CryptoLand, divided into five subclasses: Miners, Ventilation, Transport, Supervisors, and Foremen. They work tirelessly to bring Cryptopium Ore out of the mines.

Miners [DGP]

There are 4,500 Miners in CryptoLand, divided into five subclasses: Miners, Ventilation, Transport, Supervisors, and Foremen. They work tirelessly to bring Cryptopium Ore out of the mines.

Mining [Action]

Miners can perform one in-game action – mine for Cryptopium Ore. This action has a per day cost associated with it. More details on this will be released when this game action is activated.

The cost of sending your miner into the mine may vary depending on the type of Miner your DGP is, and the length of time you choose to leave your miner in the mine.

Miners have two disadvantages:

  1. They are taxed 20% of their daily production.

   2. There are two groups that are constantly trying to steal from these hard-working miners.

The first group consists of corrupt alliances between the Blacksmiths and Knights, which steal from the miners as they are refining their precious Ore into Cryptopium.

The second group consists of Army thugs who lay in wait to rob the Miners making their way back home with what little wealth they have left.

Typically, Miners have the following daily production, but this may change based on various in-game variables such as length of mining contract and any consumables they are using.

Army [DGP]

There are technically 6 subclasses within the Army, but the Knights act as a separate entity, so in this section we will cover the first five: Foot Soldiers, Spearmen, Archers, Cavalry, and King’s Guards.

The five lower Sub-classes of the Army have two different in-game Actions.

  1. They can steal from the miners as they refine their Cryptopium.

   2. They can raid castles., which range in size, risk, and reward.

These actions have a per day cost associated with them. More details on this will be released when these game actions are activated.

Thieving [Action]

The second and more risky choice is to attack one of seven neighboring castles. Each has a different level and therefore a different risk and reward. Members of the Army can attack these castles together. Users who send larger armies with better-equipped soldiers, have a greater chance at victory and spoils including the ability to obtain $CRYPTO, weapons and gear, and a greater chance at some Legendary, Mythical or God Tier Items.

Army members that participate in the thieving for the day will split the theft loot in accordance to their level. Their level is dependent on their station within the Army as well as the gear they have equipped.

In a Raid, the game system adds the Health Points from each of the Army DGPs being sent as well as their Attack Power and Defense Ability. It also considers any consumables the user has purchased for the battle.

The raid will last either until the castle or the user has 0 health left, or until the conclusion of 10 rounds. At the end of the battle, the user’s performance will be ranked from (lowest to highest) D, C, B, A, S or S++. They will then be rewarded or punished based on their performances. Punishment could mean simply going home with nothing, or it could mean losing a piece of gear. Rewards, on the other hand, may include loot boxes ranging from Common all the way up to God Tier.

These actions have a cost associated with them. More details on this will be released when these game actions are activated.

Knights [DGP]

Knights are the powerhouses of CryptoLand. Their ability to use all weapons and gear of all tiers makes them powerful raiders. The Knights have the same two in-game options as the Army, but with some differences.

By default, Knights have a higher rank than the lesser Army, and as such, they have a significant starting advantage in raiding.

These actions have a per day cost associated with them. More details on this will be released when these game actions are activated.

Thieving [Action]

Knights participate in a separate theft pool than the rest of the Army. They have formed an alliance with a corrupted faction of Blacksmiths within the artisan class, who steal a small fraction (1 of 5) of every Cryptopium Ore that they refine into Cryptopium.

The Knights that participate in the thieving for the day will split the theft loot in accordance with their level. Their level is dependent on their station at the top of the army as well as the gear they have equipped.

The second and more risky choice is to attack one of seven neighboring castles. Each has a different level and therefore a different risk and reward. Members of the Army can attack these castles together. Blacksmiths [DGP]

Blacksmiths also have two options for in-game action, but they differ slightly from the rest. Blacksmiths may choose to participate in theft with the Knights, but their primary responsibility is forging the weapons that they can then sell to members of the army class in the Marketplace to earn $CRYPTO.

Blacksmiths [DGP]

Blacksmiths also have two options for in-game action, but they differ slightly from the rest. Blascksmiths may choose to participate in theft with the Knights, but their primary responsibility is forging the weapons that they can then sell to members of the army class in the Marketplace to earn $CRYPTO.

Thieving [Action]

The Blacksmiths are metallurgical specialists, and they spend some of their time refining Cryptopium Ore into Cryptopium. However, when the Miners are not looking, a portion of the Cryptopium often goes missing. They count on the protection they receive from the Knights, and they share some of the “profits” with them.

The Blacksmiths that participate in the thieving for the day will split the theft loot in accordance with their level. Their level is dependent on their base level and the EnhanceMINTS on the land they are connected to.

Forging [Action]

Blacksmiths spend some of their new “found” wealth and the rest of their time forging weapons and armor that they can sell in the CryptoLand Marketplace to soldiers in the Army who are looking to raid their way to wealth.

They can forge many types of weapons. Each weapon can range in Rarity from Common up to God Tier. They can also forge different rarities of armor, including helmets, breastplates, gauntlets, and boots.

These actions have a per day cost associated with them. More details on this will be released when these game actions are activated.

Nobles [DGP]

The Noble Class includes Merchants, Bankers, Ladies and Lords. Each is responsible for making sure that commerce runs smoothly in CryptoLand.

They may all participate in one in-game action called Governing. They are responsible for policing the Marketplace and collecting taxes.

Governing [Action]

A participating Noble will receive a percentage of the whole day’s taxes and Marketplace fees according to their level, the total levels of all participating Nobles, and the amount in the pool.

Like all other non-user in-game actions, this action has a per day cost associated with it. More details on this will be released when the game actions are activated. Nobles also have one disadvantage: They must pay 2% of all their earnings to the Gods in the form of a tithe, and another 5% to the CryptoLand Trust Fund.

Royalty [DGP]

The Queens and Kings of CryptoLand reign supreme. They are the law. There are only 100 Queens and 100 Kings and they are all competing to get Land EnhanceMINTS that increase their earnings. A select few may even be able to purchase one of twenty Dragons to protect their Kingdom.

Ruling [Action]

Kings and Queens have one in-game action called Ruling. They are responsible for protecting the inhabitants of CrytoLand and will be responsible for raising armies in future inter-Kingdom conflicts. A participating Queen or King will receive a percentage of the whole day’s taxes and Marketplace fees according to their level, the total levels of all participating Queens and Kings and the amount in the pool.

Like all other non-user in-game actions this action has a per day cost associated with it. More details on this will be released when the game actions are activated.

Like the Nobles, they must pay 5% of all their earnings to the Gods in the form of a tithe. Also, 5% to the CryptoLand Trust Fund

The Player

There are certain actions in the game that do not require a Digital Game Piece. These are Actions that are carried out by you, the Player.

The Player

There are certain actions in the game that do not require a Digital Game Piece. These are Actions that are carried out by you, the Player.

Refining [Action]

Refining, while it has been described as a function of Miners, is actually carried out by the user as they can pool all of the mined Cryptopium Ore together to refine at once.

You choose how much Cryptopium Ore you desire to refine, understanding that as many as 2 ore of every 5 may be stolen by the two theft groups. Or you could be one of the lucky few who discovers the strategies to protect more of your wealth.

This action has a cost associated with it. More details on this will be released when the game actions are activated.

Loot Box Opening [Action]

Like Refining, this would normally be an action of soldiers who earn a Loot Box., but is actually carried out by the user. Also similar to Refining, you can open as many or as few Loot Boxes as you choose to. This action does not require a Digital Game Piece.

The potential tokens and DGP rewards contained within a given Loot Box is determined by the type of Loot Box you open.

This action has a cost associated with it. More details on this will be released when the game actions are activated.

Marketplace Buying Selling [Action]

All DGPs are the property of the user who has purchased or earned them. Users may use their DGPs to play the game or, may decide to sell them to other players. This includes Land, Avatars, Weapons, Armor, EnhanceMINTS and consumables. This will largely be a peer-to-peer marketplace. There will be few items for sale by the representatives of the Gods.

All Marketplace transactions have a 10% seller side fee. 5% fee goes into the Governing and Ruling pools. 5% fee goes to the CryptoLand Trust Fund.

This action has a cost associated with it. More details on this will be released when the game actions are activated.

ALL IN-GAME ACTIONS ARE CONTROLLED BY SMART CONTRACT

We have chosen to execute all in-game actions by smart contracts on the Polygon blockchain, primarily to ensure SECURITY.

Simply put, many current DGP games have had issues stemming from having both game actions and rewards on the same contract. This has given attackers a broad attack surface and has led to the loss of billions of dollars of DGPs and tokens.

CryptoLand will launch with a centralized Game Engine that will read contracts initiated by the Players and the results of those contracts as logged on the Polygon blockchain. It will then take those results and verify that the contracts were indeed initiated by the Player. Once verification is confirmed, a separate transfer of either in-game tokens or DGPs on the XRP ledger will be initiated. By separating these two sides of the game, we have developed a much more secure game environment.

Another reason for executing all in-game actions by smart contracts on the Polygon blockchain, is that we promised our whitelist purchasers that the DGPs would be one of the first projects to launch on the XLS-20 protocol on the XRPL.

The only issue with that is that XRP does not currently support native smart contracts and we have not yet found a layer two technology that meets our strict security standards.

Finally, just like our commitment to security, we consider transparency essential, and something we take very seriously. Many of the games in this space have murky game mechanics, but we log every action on the block chain, every dice roll, every attack, every defense… in short, we log and keep track of everything!
