CryptoLand NFT Minting Guide

Key Takeaways

  • Minting creates new Land or Avatar NFTs from resources
  • Results are randomized—you don’t choose what you get
  • Finite supply means minting ends when NFTs run out
  • Alternative to buying existing NFTs on Marketplace
  • May get common or rare results based on RNG

The Mint Action allows you to create new Land and Avatar NFTs in CryptoLand. Unlike buying from the Marketplace where you see exactly what you’re getting, minting is randomized—you might receive a common Miner or a rare Knight.

How Minting Works

The Process

  1. Access the Mint action
  2. Choose to mint Land or Avatar
  3. Pay the minting cost in CRYPTO
  4. Receive a randomized NFT
  5. NFT is added to your wallet

Randomization

When you mint, the resulting NFT is randomly determined:

  • Land: Random level (1-10) based on rarity weights
  • Avatar: Random class and subclass based on supply

You cannot choose or influence what you receive. Common results (Level 1 Land, basic Miners) are more likely than rare results (Level 10 Land, Knights, Royalty).

Supply Limits

CryptoLand has finite NFT supplies:

Land Supply

Level Total Supply Mint Probability
Level 10 100 Lowest
Level 9 200 Very Low
Level 8 400 Low
Level 7 800 Low-Medium
Level 6 1,000 Medium
Level 5 1,400 Medium
Level 4 2,000 Medium-High
Level 3 3,000 High
Level 2 4,000 High
Level 1 4,800 Highest

When Minting Ends

Minting continues as long as NFTs remain available. Once all Land or Avatar NFTs are minted, that category closes. The only way to acquire them afterward is through the Marketplace.

Minting vs Marketplace

Minting Strategy

When to Mint

  • You’re okay with any result
  • Mint cost is lower than average Marketplace price
  • You enjoy the randomization aspect
  • You want to try for rare NFTs at lower cost

When to Buy from Marketplace

  • You need a specific Land level
  • You want a particular Avatar class/subclass
  • You can’t risk getting something unusable
  • You’ve calculated exact daily rewards requirements

Expected Value Consideration

Before minting, calculate:

  1. Minting cost
  2. Probability of each outcome
  3. Marketplace value of each outcome
  4. Expected value = Σ(probability × value)

If expected value > mint cost, minting may be favorable. If not, Marketplace purchases are safer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I mint a specific Land level or Avatar?
No. Minting is completely random. If you need a specific asset, buy it from the Marketplace where you can see exactly what you’re purchasing.
What happens if I mint a common when I wanted rare?
You keep what you mint. You can use it, sell it on the Marketplace, or hold it. There are no refunds or re-rolls for minting results.
Is minting cheaper than buying?
It depends on what you get. If you mint a rare NFT, you got a bargain. If you mint a common, you may have overpaid compared to Marketplace prices for that specific item. It’s a gamble.
Will more NFTs be created after supply runs out?
The current supply is finite. Check official announcements for any plans regarding additional NFT releases. Scarcity is part of the game’s design.
